A big step for our Grade 3 stars
(and their families!)
Welcome! Grade 3 is a landmark year — it’s usually the time for bigger desks, pen licenses, and most importantly, the invitation to dive deeper into your faith through our Sacramental Program.
Whether you are a parent looking to guide your child through these beautiful traditions, or a student wondering what this "big step" is all about, you are in the right place.
This year is about belonging, discovery, and spiritual growth.

Three Pillars
The Heart of the Journey
Mass Attendance: We encourage families to join our parish community for Sunday Mass as often as possible.
Sacramental Passport: At your enrolment interview, your child will receive a Sacramental Passport, which is their guide for the year.
Saint Stickers: On 10 designated Sundays, children will receive a unique Saint Sticker which they place in their passport.
Saint’s Challenge: Along with the sticker, children write down their answer to a simple question about that saint.
Visa: As they approach each of the three sacraments, the children present their passport with the completed stickers and questions, to obtain their visa for that sacrament.
Please note that the program is designed to be flexible and adapt to your family’s busy schedule. If you can’t get to a scheduled Sunday, you can make alternative arrangements.

Preparation at Home
Home Modules: Each of the three sacraments requires a short series of online modules to be completed at home.
Videos & Quizzes: These modules consist of engaging videos and interactive quizzes designed for families to complete together.
The Visa: Finishing these modules is a key requirement for your child to receive their Visa to proceed to each sacrament.
Rehearsal and Reflection
When: Mandatory retreat days are held on the Friday immediately before Confirmation (Term 2) and First Communion (Term 3).
Purpose: These days allow children to step back from their busy lives, consolidate what they have learned, and participate in final rehearsals for the big day.
Dates: Probably Friday 12 June and Friday 10 September. Details will be confirmed ASAP.
