Retreat, Workshop and Rehearsal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Towards the end of terms 2 and 3 \u2014 specifically on the Friday morning immediately prior to Confirmation and First Communion \u2014 the children attend an activity at St Mary\u2019s Church in Hamilton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students at St Mary\u2019s Primary School may attend school as usual, as transport will be arranged from school. Students at other schools are asked to notify their schools of their planned absence, and arrange their own transport to St Mary\u2019s Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The activity incorporates a spiritual retreat, a practical workshop and a rehearsal. The morning allows the children to spend some time in personal prayer, consolidate what they have learned, and make some practical preparations for the celebrations of Confirmation and First Communion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
